Join us for the European Movement dinner with Tom Lawson Headmaster of Eastbourne College

"The European Movement UK has spent the past 75 years upholding European values, advocating for our shared interests, and pushing for friendship and cooperation across borders"

On Wednesday 9th October at 6.30pm the European Movement is at the Hydro Hotel with the Chamber of Commerce for a seasonal two-course meal and a topical talk and Q&A.

This month’s speaker is Tom Lawson MA (Oxon), Headmaster at Eastbourne College, one of the top co-ed boarding schools in the UK, and the school that produced alumni like Johnny Mercer, Woodrow Wyatt, Eddie Izzard and Michael Fish. Founded over 150 years ago, Eastbourne College has lived through two world wars a depression and several recessions, and has produced countless students who have gone on to shape the world we live in.

Steeped in a political home life growing up with the then Chancellor, Nigel Lawson, Tom's talk will be entertaining, insightful and a little controversial!

As ever, there will be time for networking and discussion, after what promises to be an enlightening talk about the importance of education in the current climate.

The European Movement was founded in 1947 by Winston Churchill to promote peace and prosperity in Europe. Neither the European Movement nor the Chamber of Commerce has allegiance to any political party.

Tickets are just £29.99 for an excellent meal and after dinner speaker, for full details and to book your tickets, follow this link:
