Wyntercon becomes Charity
As of April 24th, Wyntercon, the fourth largest independent sci-fi convention in the UK is a registered charity.
Whilst the structure, operation and ethos of Wyntercon will not change, Organiser Andy Kybett said “It has always been the ambition of everyone who has worked for, and with us to establish WynterCon as a charitable entity in order to progress the work already being undertaken in using genre-based activities to preserve and protect good mental health, and advance education & training of those in the community who are in need thereof so as to advance them in life and assist them to adapt to the wider community”
