New Members Welcome

Many of our new members met existing members at an informal welcome event with drinks canapes-salmon-with-cream-cheese-reducedand refreshments at the newly refurbished Crown & Anchor on Marine Parade, just east of the pier.  President Tim Cobb and landlady Heidi Lane welcomed everyone to this special event and Heidi went on to explain what the Chamber meant to her as a business person in Eastbourne.

The new members were also invited to speak about their own business, and were updated with the exciting plans that the Eastbourne Unltd have. Keith Ridley also spoke about the plans that Edeal Enterprise Agency had in setting up an Eastbourne Business Improvement District (BID) over the coming months.

The Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce, which provides free business advice and support in East Sussex to its membership, is the largest in the South East with over 600 members.

Stephen Holt, Business Development Manager for The Chamber commented  “It was great to welcome so many new members to the Crown and Anchor and I’d like to thank Cobb PR for sponsoring the event. The range of businesses who have recently become new members was truly incredible, from financial planners, recruitment experts to a hypnotherapist and a new Indian restaurant. Everyone can join the Chamber and benefit from the business expertise on offer.”

Stephen concluded “ The Chamber offer such a huge amount to its members, from networking events like tonight, to free editorials in publications, funding advice and business support.
