Russell Colbran

Russell was born in Eastbourne and feels very passionate about the town, having always lived and worked in the local area. Entering the construction industry in the late eighties, he secured a position with Walter Llewellyn & Sons as a management trainee and completed a 4-year training scheme achieving an ONC and HNC in building studies. During his time at Llewellyns, Russell gained experience across a wide range of commercial and residential projects valuing up to £1.5m. He joined his father's business, Colbran & Wingrove, in 1996 as contract surveyor and manager and subsequently took over the firm as managing director in 2003.  

Russell has been a member of Eastbourne Round Table for over 11 years, and has held the posts of chairman and secretary in that time which has also seen his involvement in and organisation of numerous charity events.  A family man, he has two sons and enjoys walking on the South Downs with his wife Judy and 'Obi' his labradoodle. Along with an enduring love of golf he was a keen cyclist for a time and cycled the South Downs Way in 2014 for charity, but says 'never again'!
