Chamber Golf Day 2016
Forty four golfers attended the Chamber of Commerce Golf Day at the Royal Eastbourne Golf Club on Friday 10th July. Played in glorious sunshine the course was in superb condition and some excellent scores were achieved.
After an excellent supper following the golf Bill Plumridge, Chamber Director welcomed everyone to the club expressing his hope that everyone had enjoyed a pleasant afternoon.
Tracey Luker, Head of Appeals for Chestnut Tree Children’s Hospice, informed everyone of the work that the hospice did with young people and of the urgent need to continually raise funds to enable that work to continue. She thanked everyone for supporting the raffle and drew out the names of the winners of some excellent prizes generously donated. Peter Seldon, one of the Barkweb guests generously offered a helicopter flight and lunch as an auction item and following some fierce bidding Rodney Warren will be taking to the skies in due course!
Before the golf prizes were distributed the business card draw was made with John Veness walking away with a rather nice bottle of port donated by the Eastbourne Arndale Centre.
