The Perfect Catch at Eastbourne Borough Market
The Eastbourne Borough Market has just secured the renowned Angry Whelk to bring fresh, local seafood to the weekly Wednesday market.
They will bring their weekly catch to a new stall outside Debenhams offering fine seafood and shell fish including freshly caught oysters, whelks, mussels, prawns, crayfish, bass, halibut and much more. They will also have locally smoked salmon, kippers and haddock and can take orders from the discerning shoppers of Eastbourne for “Fruit de Mer” platters or live crab and lobsters.
Owner Mark Wilson has built the business up in Bexhill over the past year and is now branching out to Eastbourne Borough Market from Wednesday 15th March.
The Angry Whelk joins the growing Borough market and add to the local produce on offer including artisan bread, handmade cakes, fruit and veg, meat, cheeses and unpasteurised milk, yogurt, cream and butter.
Market Supervisor, Luke Johnson said “We’re really thrilled that the Angry Whelk is joining the Eastbourne Borough Market. They will enhance our quality offering of the freshest local produce so our customers can do their weekly shop while supporting local, high quality producers at great value for money”.
