Member of the Week: Cavendish Bakery
Cavendish Bakery opened in 1973 as Saffron Patisserie in Grove Road, Eastbourne, by patissier and former Bondolfi manager Cliff Bennett. The bakery is now owned by his son and third generation baker and confectioner Mark.
Mark completed an apprenticeship with Brighton Technical College, where he won Student of the Year for three years running along with the prestigious, industry-renowned Renshaw Cup for excellence.
In its 40 year history, the Bakery has established a great reputation locally for its products and service. They continue to bake fresh, daily on their premises in Eastbourne and follow a number of traditional recipes.
