Breakfast Meeting: Mick Cash – General Secretary of the RMT sponsored by Printers Playhouse

Sponsored by Printers Playhouse

Mick Cash, General Secretary of the RMT (The National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers) will be our speaker at the Chamber Breakfast on 21st March.

The RMT has announced that they will continue their strike action against Southern Rail. You may remember that in January, the RMT were excluded from the ACAS meeting between ASLEF and Southern Rail. In response, Mick stated that the agreement (which was later turned down by the members of ASLEF) was a shocking betrayal of its members and passengers.

The meeting will include:

  • An opportunity to network with fellow Chamber members
  • A chance to listen to the position of the RMT and why they continue to strike against Southern Rail
  • A chance to question and challenge Mick Cash on his position
  • Your choice of either a continental or full English breakfast.

We are expecting a high number of attendees for this event. Please do book by Monday 20th of March so we can confirm with the Hydro Hotel. Tickets cost just £10 and the event is open to both Chamber members and potential members.

We run a diverse range of theatrical workshops and courses taught by theatre professionals, a community choir and have big plans for further events and activities both at Printers and elsewhere in town – look out for Dean Friedman at The Birley Centre in May!  We also offer a wonderful freshly cooked and additive free Chinese street food menu from Ying’s Kitchen which is gaining accolades from all!
